Destinations - Italy - Puglia

The heel of Italy is characterized by its flat, hot lands famed for its olive oil production and the round white-washed, sun-baked
houses with conical roofs known as Trulli.

The energetic yet graceful folk-dance called Tarantella originates here. Legend has it as the cure to a Tarantula bite.

Lecce, Puglia

The coastal area of Puglia is fringed with beaches all round especially on the Gargano peninsula and in the gulf of Taranto.

The baroque town of Lecce, known as "Florence of the South", is worth a visit.
